CJ 11/CJ 12 (4 credits) – Applied Skills

Prerequisite: None

Course Content: This course is designed for the student interested in woodwork. During the term of the course, the student will study in practice as well as in theory such topics as: personal safety and the safety of others, hand and stationary power tools and the use and care of hand tools and basic lathe turning. Students will have the opportunity to build a project of their own design once they have successfully completed the compulsory projects assigned.

Evaluation: Shop Maintenance – 10%, Projects – 70%, Assignments/quizzes – 20%, Project fees vary and are based on cost of materials used.
